John MacLean Photography
John MacLean lives in Upper Coll near Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, Scotland and has been photographing since the mid-1980s, turning professional in 1993. He holds a large database of high-quality images in both film and digital formats and has contributed many images to exhibitions, national press, books and magazines.
John works in a wide range of fields, specializing in commercial and promotional / product photography, landscape, portraiture and documentary images. He welcomes commissions throughout the Hebrides. Fast no-obligation are available for most types of work.
Equipment used includes Nikon digital cameras, Mamiya 120 roll / Pentax 35mm film cameras and Courtenay studio flash lighting.

Buying Prints / Digital Files:
Prints: For faster downloading and display on the internet, the images on this site are downsized to a fraction of the original file size: most of the images are available in high quality prints in sizes ranging from 10x8 to 16x12 inches for standard format photos. The wider panoramic prints are available in two sizes: 20 inches and 30 inches long. All photos are printed to archival standards on traditional photographic paper (not inkjet paper) and are mailed out in strong poster tubes.
Most of the images on this site can be purchased online and paid for instantly via Paypal. Personal cheques and postal orders (mailing address below) are also accepted.
For orders from outside the UK, only PayPal payments can be accepted: most credit & debit cards can be used to send payment securely through PayPal without the need to open an account with them.
If you would like a price quote, including delivery charges, for prints in different sizes from those offered on the Paypal buttons (or mounted/framed prints for local customers), please detailing the captions of the photos you are interested in (or just copy and paste the full webpage address(es) from your browser), and your location, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Digital files: For publication use, images are prepared in Photoshop and supplied as original-size uncompressed TIF files on CD/DVD, or alternatively as high-resolution JPEGs via FTP or email.
Other file formats are available on request.
