Framing of paintings

Another completed bespoke framing, this time of a fine study of nesting gannets on Boreray, St. Kilda by island artist Elaine Murray.

The painting was mounted behind archival quality antique white board in a white-painted/limewaxed wood frame.

I specialise in making frames to customers’ individual requirements: excellent art should have excellent presentation. Wherever possible, frame mouldings used are approved by the Forest Stewardship Council, which certifies woods sourced from responsibly-managed forests.

Framing services

Very busy on framing work the past couple of weeks. The latest one off the bench is to be a wedding present: a lovely panoramic James Smith print of a Ness sunset, framed in a wide deep-rebate obeche frame finished with three coats of Danish oil.

If you’re looking to have anything framed, whether for yourself or as a distinctive and unique gift for someone else, just get in touch. Services range from mounting only of prints to contract framing and bespoke framing of large works.
