Aline estate, Isle of Lewis

By John MacLean, October 2023

I‘ve been enjoying visits recently to the Aline estate in south Lewis to take photographs for their newly-updated website at aline-estate.co.uk.

Extensive photography was carried out around the estate, including landscape and aerial/drone photos, plus lodge interiors, exteriors and boat trips on Loch Langabhat and round Seaforth Island. Many thanks to the estate staff and to Ben the intrepid German Pointer!

Sandwick Bay Candles

By John MacLean, 11/12/2020

Last week I was photographing Megan MacDonald, owner of Sandwick Bay Candles in Stornoway, where Megan and her team were very busy fulfilling Christmas orders.

An excellent example of a business selling locally and also sending their products all over the world, Sandwick Bay Candles provides much-needed employment during difficult economic times in the islands. Set up in 2016, the business continues to grow its customer base by offering a range of quality products including luxury hampers, reed diffusers and lotions. Good luck for the future!

I am available for carrying out high quality photographic work through the Outer Hebrides, across a wide range of subjects including PR, media and promotional work, portraiture, property photography and high-resolution imaging of original artwork and gallery installations. Please contact me for further details or to book my services.
